There is a time for everything; a time to love, a time to plant, a time to laugh, a time to dance, a time to give birth.
It is always a privilege to share in the joy of parents welcoming their first born. But a greater privilege to be invited to share in welcoming their second child — and my second joy. Women who started out as clients and who, through the months and years have become dear friends and families. I have seen their struggles, their pain, witnessed their happiness, shared in the joy of welcoming a new life.
I believe that there is a time and purpose for everything; a season to wait, a season to harvest, a season to bloom. There are no accidents but God orchestrates everything in His perfect time. It takes nine months for a fertilized egg to grow in the womb of a mother. It goes through phases and stages until in the ninth month, God’s magnificent creation is finally revealed and a person is born. A time of anxious waiting is rewarded with a bundle of joy.
It reminds me of the Cherry Blossom Tree whose blossoming is much anticipated and celebrated by people. For most part of the year, the tree is void of its blossoms. But as warm weather approaches and becomes mild, people are on the alert for the first blossom to appear. As the season approaches, people take time-off from their daily routine to watch the blossoming of the Cherry Blossoms and to celebrate its beauty.
