Just recently, I had another successful stint as a resource person on breastfeeding. This time around –a rare 2-day seminar held exclusively for members of the ADB Homemakers Club at the prestigious Asian Development Bank in Ortigas.
A first for ADB, the 2-day seminar on breastfeeding had more or less 30 participants or glam-mamas (as I’d like to call them) 12 of whom were expectant moms. They had all been very responsive during the sessions.
The experience, once more, was very rewarding for me, seeing that at the end of the day, those glam-mamas went home with something useful and valuable to help them succeed at their admirable resolve to breastfeed.
I’d like to thank Donna Lacuna for accidentally dropping my name to her colleagues at ADB on one occasion (during a lunch gathering), prompting them to invite me to do the seminar with them. Donna, incidentally is one of the glam-mamas featured in my book “Breastfeeding Journeys: Straight from the Coach” where she is described as “working and breastfeeding with juvenile diabetes.” You should check out her story – one of great encouragement.
Many thanks also to Ms. Malou Remulla-Pena and the staff of ADB for inviting me and for being such gracious hosts.
God is good all the time! All glory to Him!
