Special Mention of the Breastfeeding Journey Book in “Now That the PDAF is Gone” in ManilaStandardToday.Ph
Atty. Rita Linda Jimeno discussed the political issue in PDAF and to my surprise I was mentioned in her article: “Congratulations to Zeny C. Feliciano, a breastfeeding coach, for the launch of her book titled Breastfeeding Journeys.”
Now that PDAF is gone
A week after the Supreme Court declared as unconstitutional the Priority Development Assistance Fund, loosely called the congressional pork barrel, quite a few have reacted in a confused rather than elated way. Some innocently asked where the billions of pesos which used to go to senators and congressmen will now go. Back to the national treasury where they belong, of course, for use by the government to fund its operations and social services as well as the building of infrastructure such as more roads, school buildings, hospitals, youth centers to divert children in conflict with the law from crime, rain water collectors to solve the problem of flooding and lack of water in the summer, evacuation centers with sanitary facilities, a state-of-the-art international airport and many more. I could go on and on. There are so many things that need to be done. Now that the government has the money to do them, there should be no excuses.
